- Its The Land
Born in 1991, raised in Chicago, and based in Los Angeles, Hip Hop artist Vee Miyagi began his journey in music as an 11 year old writing verses in class. Fascinated by the English language, in combination with his need for expression, young Miyagi immersed himself in the artform of rap and the culture of Hip Hop. Shortly after that, he was introduced to Twista’s soulful “Slow Jamz”, featuring Kanye West. For Vee Miyagi, the energy in that track, and the artists who delivered it, were a representation of Chicago. Inspired by their performance in the song, Vee Miyagi decided to pursue his dream of becoming an artist.

Vee grew up in a household that infused him with Soul music, RnB, and Rock, with artists such as Erykah Badu, Queen, Tupac, KISS, The Fugees, and Queen Latifah This all contributed to his eclectic taste in music. As he became more serious about his art, Vee Miyagi took it upon himself to study those that came before him. Artists such as Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Blu, Kanye West, and 50 Cent became his greatest influences.
